Kissimmee City Manager, Mike Steigerwald, is a native of Long Island, New York. Steigerwald arrived at the City of Kissimmee in January 1994 as a city planner and later as a planning manager for the Development Services department. He later served as the director of Development Services until 2006 when he was promoted to Deputy City Manager.
In 2010, Steigerwald became the Kissimmee City Manager, serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the City and being responsible for the day-to-day administration of the City’s business.
As the City Manager, Steigerwald manages the
government operations and its $205 million budget. Over the years and with his leadership, the City
has pursued progressive economic development programs and infrastructure projects, taking this progressive City to the next level.
Mike received his bachelor degree and Master of Urban Planning degree in 1993 from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
